Recurring transactions

Recurring Transactions

Recurring Transactions are for items such as council tax. These are similar to transactions but contain

a posting frequency , monthly, quarterly etc.

 

 

To enter a Recurring Transaction select "Add New"

 

 

NOTE: A recurring transaction is a base transaction from which actual transactions are created. Financial transactions

are only created once an instalment of this transaction is posted.

 

Create a Recurring Transaction

 

Complete the Recurring Transaction Detail form

 

 

 

 

 

Post Recurring Transactions

 

 Select either the warning message "There are Recurring Transactions due for Posting"

on the top of the screen  or select "Post  Transactions" button on the bottom of the screen.

 

 

 

A new screen will appear. This lists the recurring transactions that are due but have not been created yet.

 

Select transaction due date (will default to todays date)

 

Select the transaction(s) you wish to create and then select "post". This button is highlighted as soon as you

select a transaction.

 

Unapproved transaction(s) are then created for each record selected on the list.

 

 

NOTE: Once a transaction has been created from this screen it is similar to all other transaction in that

it is amended or voided via the financial transaction screen.

 

 

Deleting a Recurring Transaction

 

Recurring transaction can be deleted at any time.

Highlight the record, then select "delete".

Then "OK" in the warning message

 

 

NOTE: This deletes the base record only. Any financial transactions created from this record will remain

as financial transactions.

 

 

Deleting a Recurring Transaction Instalment

 

 Select the instalment(s) that you wish to delete then select "Delete"

 

This "OK" in the warning message box.

 

 

NOTE: This only deletes the selected instalment(s) all other instalments will remain.
